CREATORS KEEP THEIR WORK
Copyright Policy
Effective: August 9, 2026
Respect for intellectual property
Dabawenyo respects copyright and other intellectual-property rights. Copyright in an original literary or artistic work generally belongs to its author from the time the work is created, subject to applicable law, contracts, employment, commissioned-work rules, and the rights of other contributors.
Creator ownership
Creators retain ownership of original manga, illustrations, covers, images, writing, and other works they upload. Uploading does not sell or assign copyright to Dabawenyo. A creator must also respect any rights belonging to co-authors, photographers, models, publishers, employers, commissioners, licensors, or other contributors.
Limited platform licence
By publishing content, a creator grants the non-exclusive permission described in the Terms and Conditions. It allows Dabawenyo to host, store, process, resize, crop, compress, convert, display, distribute within the service, back up, moderate, and feature the content as reasonably necessary to operate the selected feature. It does not transfer ownership or authorise unrelated commercial exploitation.
What users may upload
You may upload only material you created or are legally authorised to use and publish. Giving credit, writing “credits to the owner,” finding an image online, purchasing a physical copy, or modifying someone else’s work does not by itself provide permission to upload it.
Do not upload unauthorised scans, copied manga, traced or substantially copied art, stolen photographs, pirated material, protected logos used misleadingly, or adaptations for which you lack permission.
How to submit a copyright report
A copyright owner or authorised representative may send a report to admin@dabawenyo.space. Use the subject “Copyright Report” and provide:
(1) your name and reliable contact information; (2) identification of the protected work; (3) the exact Dabawenyo URL or content being reported; (4) an explanation of why the use is unauthorised; (5) your relationship to the rights holder; (6) a good-faith statement that the information is accurate; and (7) your typed or electronic signature.
Submit only information necessary to evaluate the report. Knowingly false, misleading, or abusive reports may result in rejection or account action.
Review and temporary restriction
Dabawenyo may request clarification, preserve relevant records, notify the uploader, and temporarily hide or restrict disputed content while reviewing a sufficiently supported report. Removal is not an admission that infringement occurred. Incomplete reports may be held until enough information is provided.
Uploader response and restoration request
An affected uploader may respond through admin@dabawenyo.space with the content URL, account information, an explanation of ownership or permission, supporting evidence, and a good-faith statement that the restriction resulted from mistake or misidentification.
Dabawenyo may provide non-sensitive portions of a report or response to the other party when reasonably necessary to resolve the dispute. Content may be restored, remain restricted, or be removed depending on the information available, platform rules, and applicable law. Complex ownership disputes may need to be resolved directly by the parties or through appropriate legal proceedings.
Repeat and serious violations
Dabawenyo may restrict publishing privileges or suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly or seriously infringe rights, submit content they do not control, evade prior enforcement, or misuse the reporting process. Decisions may consider the nature, frequency, evidence, and context of the conduct.
Platform and third-party materials
Except for User Content and identified third-party material, the Dabawenyo name, logo, interface, original design, software, documentation, and platform-created materials are owned by or lawfully used by their respective rights holders. Third-party names, brands, and works remain the property of their respective owners.
Copyright notice
© 2026 Dabawenyo. The copyright notice applies to Dabawenyo’s original platform content and does not claim ownership of user-submitted or third-party works. Those works remain subject to the rights of their respective owners.
