About Dabawenyo
Dabawenyo is an independent, community-oriented digital platform created to celebrate, connect, and support Davao and its people.
Our purpose
Our goal is simple: to build a useful online space where Dabawenyos can discover local information, explore opportunities, access practical tools, support homegrown creativity, and share original stories—all in one place.
Dabawenyo is not limited to one purpose. We believe a community hub should be able to grow alongside the community it serves. From local tools and information to independent manga and creative projects, we want Dabawenyo to be useful today while helping promote what Davao can create for the future.

Our mission is to create an accessible and evolving digital home for Davao—one that brings together community, creativity, technology, and local identity.
We want to make it easier for people to discover what Davao has to offer while giving local creators and independent projects a place to be seen. Being proudly Dabawenyo should never limit how far our stories and ideas can travel. Davao is our home, not our creative boundary.

Projects such as Manga Hub give independent creators a place to publish and showcase original manga and illustrated stories, whether rooted in local culture or set in entirely fictional worlds.

Not every creator begins with a publisher, studio, large audience, or major budget. Manga Hub gives creators somewhere to develop their work, reach readers, and build an identity of their own.

We develop practical tools and services that make local information easier to find and online experiences more useful for the Davao community.

We aim to keep Dabawenyo simple, welcoming, and easy to explore, adding features gradually when they serve a genuine community purpose.
Manga Hub
Manga Hub is Dabawenyo’s home for original independent manga and illustrated stories. It gives emerging creators a place to publish their work and gives readers a way to discover stories they may never encounter through mainstream publishing.
Its catalogue may include stories inspired by Davao, Mindanao, and Filipino culture alongside science fiction, fantasy, adventure, and other worlds created by independent artists and storytellers.

Together, we help shape the platform while continuing to develop independent projects and ideas. As Dabawenyo grows, other creators, contributors, businesses, organisations, and members of the community may become part of that journey.

Creators retain ownership of the original works they upload, subject to the rights of any other copyright holders. Publishing on Dabawenyo grants only the limited permission described in our Terms and Conditions; appearing on the platform does not transfer ownership to Dabawenyo.
The appearance of a creator, work, business, organisation, event, job, listing, or other third-party content does not imply partnership, verification, sponsorship, endorsement, or commercial representation by Dabawenyo unless expressly stated.
